Lessons in Insurance Service Repery (explaining a rate increase)
- Rep: Well I've got good news and I've got bad news. The good news is that the increase in your insurance premium wasn't based on any adverse rating activity against you. (Translation: there is nothing you can do). The bad news is that the premium increase was the result of a cross-the-board rate increase for all policy-holders within your geographic region (Translation: we don't hate you; we hate everyone).
- Policy-holder: Oh, well thanks for explaining that to me. (Translation: I'm switching to Geico)
